2004年11月23日上午， 在植物细胞与染色体工程国家重点实验室会议室，俄罗斯科学院生化物理研究所的功勋科学家、杜马议员Dr. Nechitailo Galina来我所作了“Influence of long term exposure to space flight on tomato seeds: effects on the first and second generation of plants”的学术报告，并赠送了刘敏研究组“国际宇航标志旗”和国际空间站搭载的种子。此间，双方还续签了空间生命科学研究的合作协议，我所袁开文副所长参加了接待。
