2007年4月4日，美国康奈尔大学Boyce Thompson Institute for Plant Research的David Stern教授来我所进行访问，并作了题为"The two lives of polynucleotide phosphorylase: A ribonuclease and a phosphate deficiency response regulator"的报告。报告结束后，David Stern教授分别与李家洋副院长、薛勇彪所长以及杨维才、王道文、左建儒和曹晓风等研究员进行了面对面的学术交流。
