报告题目：Unraveling Genome Architecture Using Genomic and Systems Approaches

　　Plant genomics has blossomed in the last decade, with the majority of majority of research interests in the plant sciences and of major crop groups are supported by today’s catalog of reference genome sequence. Improving the catalogue genes and understanding how these genes work together is essential for understanding fundamental biological processes in plant growth, development, and response to environment, as well as for leveraging this information for crop improvement. Dr. Ware will present recent work to improve the structural annotations for coding and non coding genes in grasses, integrating expression and methylation profile. She will also present work to generate and validate an in-vitro interaction map between transcription factors and the promoter of miRNAs in Arabidopsis using a Yeast one hybrid system to characterize cross talk between development and environmental, and the conservation of the network in maize.
