This symposium focuses on the generation and utilization of transgenic animal models of diseases, including large animal and primate models. The meeting will cover new technology from gene targeting in ES cells to lentiviral transgenic and ZFN approaches.

The deadline for abstract submission is April 1st, 2011. Abstract should be written in English using font Times New Roman. The abstract title should be in font size 12, and in bold. Authors and affiliations should be in size 11 by underlining the attending author. The main part of the abstract should be in size 12 with total words less than 400. Please provide no more than 5 key words.
Presentation forms
Invited speakers will lecture for 40 minutes including a brief discussion, while short talks (25 minutes) will be selected from submitted abstracts.
Poster
Poster size is limited to 120cm (W) X 90cm (H).
Time and Place
The symposium will be held on May 11-13, 2011, at the Fragrant Hill Hotel, Beijing, China.
Language
The official language for presentation is English.
The organizing committee will arrange a shuttle bus to pick up the participants at the Beijing International Airport on May 10, 2011. Information for the departure shuttle bus will be announced at the meeting.
Registration
Registration will open from 2:00-6:00 pm at the meeting site on May 10, 2011. Registration fee covering meals and paper works is 1000 RMB for regular participants and 600 RMB for students. Only cash is accepted.

Passport and Visa
A valid passport and a visa are required for entry into China. Visas can be obtained from your local Chinese Embassy or the nearest Consulate General. An official visa invitation letter will be sent to the participants upon receipt of the registration form. Japanese participants staying in China for not more than 15 days do not need a visa.

The symposium organizers do not accept any liability for personal accidents or loss or damage to the private property of any participants during the symposium or indirectly arising from attending the symposium. It is advisable that participants should take adequate travel and health insurances before leaving their own countries.
The electricity supply in China is 220V, 50Hz.
In China, the renminbi (RMB) is the only currency used. Money exchange centers can be found at the airport, most hotels and large shopping centers. The exchange rate is about US $1 = 6.70 RMB. When exchanging money, please keep your receipt so that you can convert any remaining Chinese currency back to foreign currency upon leaving China. VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club and JCB are accepted in many department stores and hotels. It may be difficult to withdraw cash with credit cards.

You are advised to reconfirm your departing flight (both international and domestic) 72 hours in advance, especially if you are flying with Chinese airlines. Please note that these offices are not usually open on weekends.
